Coyotes Win Over Wolfpack

Rodway picks up first win 2011

Keifer Rodway (So, RHP, Parksville, BC) had a quality start to pick up his first win of the season.  Rodway went 5 innings, surrendering only 3 hits, striking out 5.

Pete Tollenaar (Jr, RHP, Ft McMurray, AB) came in relief for two innings to nail down the victory for the Coyotes.

At the plate OC was led by Stefan Mckee (Fr, C, North Delta, BC) who was 2-3 with an RBI.  Reed Quaal (So, OF, Penticton, BC) added another RBI with a 1-3 day.   Garret Wiese (Fr, INF, Medicine Hat, AB) had a sac fly to plate the third run of the game.

“It was a big win for us.  Rodway threw very well, continuing from this past weekend in Spokane.  For him to have another quality start and keep the momentum going for our team really sets the tone.  It was also nice to see some clutch RBI’s and situational hitting executed at the plate.  If we continue to have quality starts and solid defense we should be in good shape.”  Head Coach Geoff White
