Week 3 Preview

The Coyotes will head in week three of the CCBC with lots to prove.  After a tough road weekend in Nanaimo, where the Coyotes were swept and lost three games by one run, there is no secret for what needs to happen.

“Bottom line we need to pitch better, we walked way to many, and didn’t get quality at bats with runners on.” says Head Coach Geoff White.

The Coyotes surrendered 30 walks over the 4 game set, 12 of which led to runs.

“It was a recipe for disaster when we walk that many in close game, I’m confident we will have a much better weekend on the mound.” adds White.

The Coyotes head into a home and home series with regional rival TRU Wolfpack.  TRU is coming off a weekend where they went 1-3 against Prairie Baseball Academy.  Game times for the weekend will be Saturday at 3:00pm & 6:00pm at Elks Stadium, and the same times on Sunday in Kamloops at Norbrock Stadium.

Saturday at 6:00pm is also student and fan appreciation night where there will be free hot dogs on hand courtesy of Bonanza Meatpackers, Specialty Bakery and Kal Tire.
