Season Preview – Infielders

The last two installments of our Season Preview covered the Pitchers and Catchers. We will now shift our focus to the Infielders.

Leading the infield will be 5th years Brandon Graham (3B, Prince George, BC),  Jared Dulaba (SS, Port Coquitlam, BC), and Jared Frew (1B, Calgary, AB).

Graham has been with the Coyotes since 2013. His main position had been Right Field but has made the transition to 3B for his final season. Coming into his final season he has played in 95 games batting .281 with 84 hits, 60 RBI and 7 homeruns. He will look to add to those solid numbers with a productive final season.

Dulaba came to the Coyotes in 2014. He has been the Coyotes starting short stop over the last 3 seasons. He came to the Coyotes as a 3B, but with his strong arm, he was able to make an easy transition to the middle of the infield. Dulaba has hit .211 in 85 games, amounting 55 hits, 36 RBI and 2 homeruns. He will be looked upon to be a leader of the team both on and off the field.

Frew joined the Coyotes in 2015, transferring from Douglas College in Vancouver. So far with the Coyotes he has hit .255 in 53 games, he has 42 hits, 4 homeruns and 31 RBI. Frew brings a loud bat to the lineup with extra base power. He will be playing mostly first and second base this year but is versatile and can play anywhere in the infield.
