2018 CCBC Opening Weekend Preview

The Okanagan College Coyotes will open up their 2018 Canadian College Baseball Conference season at home on Saturday March 24th and Sunday March 25th against the seven time defending champions, The Prairie Baseball Academy Dawgs. Saturdays Games will begin at 1pm and Sundays at 11am. All games are played at historic Elks Stadium.

Last season, the Coyotes were the Dawgs toughest competition. The Coyotes record against the Dawgs was 3 wins 2 losses. The Dawgs only lost 4 games all season, 3 of them coming at the hands of the Coyotes including their only loss in the CCBC Championship Tournament. OC will look to continue their strong play against the Dawgs and finally dethrone them.

The starting pitchers on Saturday will be Chris Wyslobocki (Freshman, Toronto, Ont) and Zac Yandeau (Senior, Plumas, MB). Sunday will see Cole Parussini (Senior, Vancouver, BC) and Aiden Mordecai (Sophomore, Cloverdale, BC) take the mound for the Coyotes.

The Offense will be led by Jared Frew (Senior, 1B, Calgary, AB), Brandon Graham (Senior, 3B, Prince George, BC), Jake Fischer (Junior, C, Edmonton, AB) and Davis Todosichuk (Senior, CF, Kelowna, BC).

The Coyotes are the deepest they have ever been and will look to win their first CCBC championship in club history.
